Communication Strategies for Families and Caregivers

Supporting someone who is living with a mental illness can be tough and overwhelming. It might make you feel stressed or scared. But it’s important to remember that you are not alone. There are lots of people and resources out there to help.  

Communication Skills for Families and Caregivers is a self-paced training available for families and caregivers of Center for Behavioral Health and Learning patients. This is a four-part training, and the duration of each module is noted below. As self-paced training, you can exit the training and come back at any time.

Please note: the platform doesn’t keep track of your progress, so we recommend keeping a note of where you left off, so you’ll know where to begin on a return visit. You can return to the course as many times as you’d like after you have completed it. We also suggest you bookmark this Table of Contents page or add it to your “Favorites” for easier access.

Yes. The first 35 people to complete the training and the associated feedback surveys will receive a $10 gift card. A select number of training participants will be invited to do an interview. Interview participants will receive one $100 gift card for their feedback.
